Rhododendron: Nattional Flower of Nepal

Laligunras or Rhododendron is the national flower of Nepal. There are altogether 700 species of Rhododendrons in the world and Nepal has 30 species among them. R.arboreum species of Rhododendron is honored as the national flower of Nepal in 2019 BS.These species of Rhododendron is found in red, pink, crimson and white colours. Districts like Tehrathum, Sankhuwasabha, Manang, Doti, Pokhara etc are famous places for Rhododendron where as Milke hill of Taplejung district is known as the best place to get the most beautiful sites of Rhododendron.  We can see 25 species of Rhododendron at this place on the months of Falgun to Baisakh.The colour Crimson represents the bravery of Nepalese in the history.

Panthera: One Tribe of Tiger in Nepal

Panthera Tiger is one of the important tribe of Tiger among eight species of tigers in the world. It is inhabited in Nepal nearly in the number of 103-130. This tiger has yellow and black stripes on the body so it is called Pate Bagh in Nepalese society. Tiger is a carnivore. It only eats its pray. It can digest 35kg of meat at once and can carry 1000kg of pray of Gauri Gai (the biggest cow) even it is only of 150kg. Most of the deers, monkeys, cows, baby elephants etc are used to be its pray. Tiger is a lonely living animal. It only stays 8-10 days in family for reproduction. Tiger plays a vital role on balancing eco-system. So, it is legally prohibited to hunt all tribes of tigers in the world.

Bhaktapur: The smallest district representing whole Nepal

A city founded in the twelve century by the king Ananda Malla covering area of 6.88 km with conch shape is the smallest district of Nepal is Bhaktapur. It is the city of various cultures, colurful festivals and ritual dances, magnificent temples and the destiny of tourists visiting in Nepal. Nyataponla (Five stair) temple, Fifty Five Windows Palace, Bhairav Nath Temple, Sun Dhoka (Golden Gate), The Yaksheswor Mandev Temple, Peacock Windows, The Largest Shiva Lingun at Hanuman Ghat etc. are just the few of monuments reflecting Bhaktapur’s artistic grandeur. Nawadurga Dance of Bhaktapur is the most famous dance in the Kathmandu Valley. Likewise Gai Jatra, Bisket Jatra etc. have their great values. Nagarkot is the best destiny for catching the great mountain views. Changu Narayan Temple is also located at Bhaktapur which is one of the seven UNECO World Heritage sites in the valley. This city is mainly inhabitated by Newars including Bahun, Chhetri, Rai, Tamang etc. like as Nepal with various Castes and Ethnic groups.

Wildlife

Nepal has fourteen Wildlife Reserves and National Parks. Nepal has nearly as many bird species as all at North America and there are hundred eighty species of mammals. Nepal includes 8.5% birds species, 2.2% fish species, 2.2% flowering plants, 4.2% mammals, 4.2% butterflies and 1.4% reptiles. Nepal is situated only in 0.03% of the land of the world but has rich collection of wildlife, which is proved by the following amazing examples in Wildlife of Nepal. It has the animal which can live at the highest altitude above eight thousand meter called Stellaria, Snow Rhododendron, Bar-headed Goose Flying over the highest altitude, Gauri Gai (The biggest cow of the world), Nau Muthi Achhame Gai (The smallest cow of the world), Nayan (The biggest Sheep of the world), Ajingar (The biggest species of snake of the world), Bhir Mahuri (The biggest Honey Bee of the world) etc.

Kathmandu Valley

Kathmandu Valley is the political, commercial and cultural hub of Nepal including three ancient royal cities Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Patan. There are seven UNESCO world Heritage sites in this valley. They are; Swayanbhunath Stupa (The huge Stupa of holiest Buddhist sites in Nepal), Pashupati Nath Temple (One of the most sacred Hindu Shrines in the world),

Political Division and System of Nepal

Nepal is developing country and is divided into five development regions, fourteen zones and seventy five districts to achieve the goal of development. For cnturies, Nepal was made up of many small kingdoms. In the eighteenth century, Prithvi Narayan Shah (King of Gorkha) unified all the small kingdoms and his dynisty ruled over Nepal till 1951 B.S. At the mid nineteenth century, Rana rulers ruled over Nepal for hundred and four years in Autocratic System then Nepalese got Multi-Party democracy with monarchial king in 2007 B.S. After sixty-six years, Nepalese revolution has started Democratic Republic System.

Festivals

Nepal is known as a land of colourful festivals for the tourists. Nepalese celebrate more festivals than there are days in a year. Festivals unite people of diverse cultural backgrounds. Besides God and Goddesses, they worship Earth, Sun, Moon, Parents, Brothers, Cow, Snake, Day, River, Plant, Tool, Weapon, utensils-like as everything. People follow Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, Christianity and so on religions and there is religious tolerance between them. Some of the major festivals are as follow: Dashain (Asoj-Kartik), Tihar (kartik), Teej (Bhadra), Shivaratri (Falgun), Ram Nawami (Chaitra), Holi (Falgun), Balachaturdeshi (Mangshir), Buddha Jayanyti (Baisakh), Chhath (Kartik-Mangshir) etc. And Indra Jatra, Bisket Jatra, Gai Jatra, Rato Machhindra Nath Jatra, Hari Shanker Jatra, Trishul Jatra etc are the main festivals can be observed in Kathmandu Valley.

The People

Nepal is the land of different ethnic groups and their unique cultures. In capital city, Kathmandu valley, leading people are Newars, whose culture and artistry have earned them international fame. Sherpas of the Himalaya are known for their mountaineering skills, Rais, Limbus, Magars, Gurungs of middle hills have fame as brave Gorkha soldiers. Other Brahmins, Chhetris, Bhojpuris, Tharus etc. enhance our multi cultural, multi linguistic and multi religious society.  

Land of Nepal

It is a mountainous land locked small country containing the greatest altitude variation in the world. The land starts from almost sea level, the plain land of Terai and ends with the highest point of the world Sagarmatha. Eight of the fourteen summits in the world over 8,000 meters lie in Nepal including valleys, narrow river gorges, some of the world’s best white water rafting, mountain in biking and safaris jungle.

Nepal is one of the small land locked country covering 0.03%land in the total land of the     Earth. It lies in Asia between two countries China and India. Specially, it is known for its diverse natural resources, attitude, unity among people of many ethnic groups and their unique cultures. It is the country of Sagarmatha, Gautam Buddha and Brave Gorkhalis. Officially, people speak Nepali as their national language and carry two triangular unique flag with the symbols of the Sun and Moon as its national flag. It is a small Himalayan kingdom in size but a country one cannot visit enough.

My Aim

My aim of life is not far from general aspect but is very difficult to achieve and that is no more than being a human.I should help to the people of trouble, I should remove the discrimination between the amount of money belonging with people as rich and poor. The greatest thing in the world is living by being human and I just want to achieve that aspect of being human for making the better world of peace, harmony, love, patience and all organisms of good characters of the people.
